Speed bike / Pedelec helmets

A speed bike is a fast (or even ultra-fast) version of a classic VAE

The battery assists the cyclist up to 45 km/h and no longer 25 km/h as on a normal electric bicycle. However, French legislation regulates this new type of bicycle. As on a moped or scooter, you must insure and register your speed-bike as well as wear an approved helmet for this practice. Also note that it is not possible to use cycle paths or authorized one-way streets.
